In this session of our All Mixed Up! series, we’ll create a multi-layered mixed media piece with paint, texture, mark-making, and collage.

When the world feels all mixed up, creativity has the power to bring you right back to center.

While we know this is true, it’s also true that many people we talk to say “But I’m not creative”. To this we say, “We are all creative beings—born to create!”

With food and drink to nourish us, we will take a deep dive into different mixed media art tools and techniques to create a mixed media piece of art following the original Heart Connected technique createed by Anna Oginsky, author, artist, and Brighton Light House Co-Founder.

Mixed media art allows you a unique opportunity to let your intuition guide you. Our goal isn’t to paint a realistic landscape or to make art that looks the same as the person’s next to us (although, you’re free to try that if you’d like!). Instead, we’re here to play!
