About Brighton Light House
Meet the Brighton Light House Team
Like many small businesses our first team expansion came when Kelly Luck joined Anna and Daniel Oginsky at their kitchen table in their home in Brighton in 2019. In February of 2021 we opened the doors to Brighton Light House and our team has grown from there.

Anna Oginsky
FOUNDER
Anna is an award-winning author, as well as a workshop and retreat facilitator through her small business, Heart Connected. She received her BA in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Michigan State University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan (for the record, she will forever remain a Spartan).
At Heart Connected, Anna holds space for guests to use yoga, writing, meditation, and art to tune in to the wisdom and peace they carry in their hearts.
After years of traveling to events around Michigan and other parts of the country, Anna wanted to focus her work on her local community. She achieved that and more in building Brighton Light House with Daniel and their team.
Anna is delighted to be able to offer inspiring yet functional spaces, and enriching personal growth and professional development programs to the community through Brighton Light House.
Anna and Daniel live in Brighton with their three children and two labradoodles.

With over 15 years of experience in both facility management and event planning, Melissa is an ideal fit for the role of Community Manager-Experience and Engagement.
Her background in member services, foundation management, and training coordination make her a unique fit for the role, but it was her aspiration to make more meaningful connections within the community and desire to be part of something inspiring that led her to Brighton Light House.
Melissa is a Michigan native who planted roots in Brighton six years ago with her husband, two children and Weimaraner. She is an award-winning professional photographer with a passion for capturing newborn photography.
On weekends and evenings during the spring and fall you will most likely find her on a soccer field, with a messy bun and a whistle around her neck, coaching a youth soccer team from Hartland United FC.

Giving Back
Even before opening, the Brighton Light House made it a priority to give back to the community. To date, Brighton Light House has proudly sponsored the Brighton Dance Festival, as well as the Brighton High School TechnoDogs team and the Brighton High School Musical.
As the impact of COVID-19 began to hit Livingston County, Brighton Light House partnered with the I Will Right Now Foundation to provide financial assistance to families in the community, and to secure a delivery van for Bountiful Harvest of Brighton. It is a great privilege to be able to help Bountiful Harvest expand its reach in the community and to assist the I Will Right Now Foundation in doing its important work. You can read more about that endeavor here and here.
